This cleanser is unbelievably gentle and hydrating. It honestly feels less like “washing your face” and more like giving your skin a break. The texture is silky and milky, not foamy, not stripping, and not trying to do the most. It cleans while still being kind, which my skin deeply appreciates.From the first use, my face felt clean but also moisturized. No tightness, no dryness, no post-wash regret. Just soft, calm skin that looked healthy and lightly glowy. The snow mushroom ingredient really does its job. It hydrates in that plump, comfortable way similar to hyaluronic acid, but without feeling heavy or sticky.It removes dirt, sunscreen, and everyday buildup easily, and it’s especially soothing when my skin barrier feels tired or sensitive. This is the cleanser I reach for when my skin is irritated, over-exfoliated, or just needs something gentle and reliable.It leaves zero residue, doesn’t clog pores, and works beautifully morning or night. My skin feels clean, balanced, and hydrated every single time.If you wear heavy makeup, this works best as a first or second cleanse rather than a full glam remover. But for daily cleansing, sensitive skin, or anyone chasing that soft, dewy look without irritation, this is excellent.Simple, calming, hydrating, and effective. My skin is very happy with this one.

I also purchased the Thayer’s Milky face wash and really like it. I normally use oil-based cleansers, like Beauty of Joseon ginseng oil cleanser (which I still do love), and Cosrx makes a snail mucin cleanser that I use for cleansing off makeup or sunscreen. But for my daily regular wash, particularly in the morning, I like a very gentle easy-to-wash-off cleanser that hydrates and soothes. No perfumes/fragrances! Good for rosacea-prone skin.This milky hydrating cleanser I purchased because I did like the toner, does just that – cleansed my face, didn’t strip my skin, wasn’t oily at all (though good oil-based cleansers do feel oily they don’t stay oily), and felt wonderful as I cleansed my skin – also washed away very easily and quickly; I do about 14 splashes of water to be sure all is removed then use a washable reusable toner pad with toner to remove any residue.———I like this milky toner. It has hydrating ingredients, including hyaluronic acid, and doesn’t contain any alcohol. Very gentle on my skin.I put a bit on the makeup pad I use for my skincare routine and pat onto my face, and then add just a bit of water to the pad and pat again. There is absolutely no irritation to my rosacea-prone skin. Leaves me with a healthy glow.I use this as either second or third in my skincare routine: Cleanse, tone with this toner; or, cleanse, aha/bha toner, and then pat on this toner. Then I proceed with the rest. I do nearly always let time pass between products to let them settle into my skin, so after I apply toner and my essence, I go make coffee to give my skin time to adjust to that before any serums, etc.I ordered the small bottle but would consider ordering the larger one as I like the addition of moisturizing ingredients.

This the The Missus reviewing.I will absolutely buy this again. I bought the travel size to try it out. It’s been 2 weeks now. So many reviews, but these are my observations as a woman of nearly 60 (already?!) with dehydrated and slightly dry skin.First, no witch hazel. That’s good for me because my skin has never liked it. Sorry, Thayers.This is so hydrating I’ve stopped using my hyaluronic acid serum. With HA, my skin still got tight even with extra moisturizers. Not with this toner! In fact, oilier skins may even be able to forego moisturizer. Also, this toner doesn’t pill when topped with an occlusive as HA often does.No irritation and no stinging, even on a spot I’d picked at. Dries quickly. I even use it on my eye area above the crease. Works just fine with my The Ordinary products.One tip: use a brush. It’s pretty thick so when I used a cotton pad, the cotton left pills all over my face and a makeup remover pad (a furry thing) just sucked it all up. I now put a little less than 1/2 teaspoon in a medicine cup (like on Pepto or cough syrups) and use a flat white nylon artist brush (#10 filbert shape because that’s what I had on hand) to apply because nylon picks up the liquid, but does not absorb it. 1/2 teaspoon or so does my entire face with just a tad left over if I didn’t eyeball it right. This 3 oz travel size is going to last for months; not bad for under $5!*** Edit Aug 20, 2024LOL! After all that, I can just use my fingers. The stuff is thick enough that it doesn’t drip off my fingers and the nozzle dispenses a very controlled amount if I just squeeze gently.
