slow to bloom
these take a good 3 weeks to fully bloom and take on shape. I had set up a return cause they came super flat and deformed and didnt bloomed in a week.Then I kept forgetting to stop at whole foods and when I remembered , today, i noticed they’d fully bloomed. If you dont need to use them right away probably not a bad roller . Sponge rollers are light and feel flimsy in the hand so they are easier to sleep in, that’ s expected it’s how long they last clipping and unclipping that makes or breaks how good these are, anytwaysif you need to use them within the 1st week – look somewhere else.9/1/2025 amendment – I just cut layers in and need larger rollers -I use very small amounts per roller to avoid over loading it. Still , these collapse when in use. (i’m wearing them now)The integrity of the sponge was/is compromised by the vacuum seal method of storage and the plastic is so weak they are popping and not holding the sponge in place. I wanted to give it the benefit of the doubt.others may be better.

Terrible item! Besides the plastic closure being cheesy and cheap, they packaged with the air removed so as to save space when shipping, but they don’t re-inflate! Waste of time – they are going right back!I’m updating this a week later and I increased my rating to 3 stars based on some of the rollers finally plumping up in water. Not sure how well they will hold though as the plastic clip is very flimsy, but I’m going to give them a try.

These hair curlers are great. But, give yourself at least one week before using. They are vacuum packed and it takes quite a bit of time for them to re-inflate. Large soft hair curlers- They are as described and fully inflated after a week or so.

Bad product. Disappointed.
If I could give this no stars I would. These jumbo hair rollers arrived in a sealed, vacuum-packed bag and were completely flat. I waited 48 hrs for them to expand and regain their full, round shape, but they never did. As a result, they are unusable and not as described.

These look great, I love the large size of these rollers! They came vacuum sealed and flat as can be – I was a little worried about some of the creases not coming out but they immediately plumped up and smoothed perfectly, right after I put them in a bowl of water (as directed in the listing).The clips: I haven’t used yet so I can’t speak to the strength of the plastic clips, but for me it doesn’t even matter if they aren’t great. I remove them, cut strips of t-shirt, use a chopstick or something similar to feed the t-shirt strip through the hole, and then just tie the ends together after I’ve rolled the curl. It’s SO much more comfortable to sleep in this way, plus you don’t have to worry about the bars of the clip leaving a crease in your hair. I would say at first this method is a tiny bit trickier than clips, but once you’re used to it it’s easy-peasy. I don’t bother altering the rollers that are going on top of my head, since that part isn’t touching the pillow.

Cheaply made—Do not recommend
Really cheaply made. I’ve used 6 of the rollers so far and already two have broken and unusable. The plastic holders snapped, and the rollers were not able to fasten to hold the hair in place. Definitely do not recommend.

I have got some smaller ones which clip much better than these , they are flat packed which is useful but the clips don’t really work very well in keeping my hair in place , have to put in very small sections, will keep trying with them .

Following the instructions I have put the curlers into a bowl with hot water after unpacking them and within less then a minute they gained back the proper round shape. I left them stand for a while wet and then I squeezed the residual water out and they remaind perfectly in shape also after squeezing. I like this type of curlers because they are very light and soft and I can use them overnight. I had them in the past however just smaller ones. These much bigger ones are simply amazing, they give my hair look much more volume. They are easy to use and hold well. The only con – the genial idea of vacuum packiging completly lost its purposes as the thin package was delivered in a huge cartoon box. I do not understand – it would have fit into an envelope and could have been put in our post box.
