I created this product out of a personal need. I’ve never liked using heat on my hair so I would wash my hair at night and twist it up into a microfiber turban to dry my hair overnight while creating some waves.
There were 2 problems:
1) It always fell off 2) I wanted more curls
So early summer of 2017 I played around with the idea of sewing strips onto a headband. By December we were online and we’ve loved bringing it to you ever since! xo
How did we get our start?
Our founder created the original Octocurl design at her kitchen table in the summer of 2017 by cutting up strips of paper and stapling them to a headband. She became obsessed with this idea and tested all summer by using single strips, double strips, quadruple strips… she wrapped, curled, twisted, bent, & braided.
What problem are we solving?
There are countless heat tools on the market. Our mission is to offer options for great hair styling without the use of heat.

Great curls!
Buy this. If you want heatless curls that are stunning and hold all day, buy this product. I have thick long hair and I purchased the medium length one- I will be keeping that but also buying the longer one because I feel like I want a little bit of a loser curl. This one makes the curls tighter due to it being shorter. There are so many different rods to curl your hair around and once you get the hang of it, it’s so quick and easy. You can also remove the middle rods incase you don’t need them. I divided my hair as a zigzag middle part for extra volume and then into three sections on each side, using two rods per section. This gave me volumized beachy (if a little tight) curls that lasted all day.I did struggle the first few times with figuring out the best way to do this but once you know, it’s so easy.It is mediumly comfortable to sleep on but still more comfortable than most heatless curl options I’ve used.The rods themselves are silky smooth and so soft. Overall, great product, that I will be repurchasing and recommending to all my friends.

Creates beautiful curls
Comfortable to wear and creates beautiful curls. There is a big learning curve to use but minor adjusts after first use worked great. Foam rods are very long even for hair that goes down to the knees. Would consider sizing down if purchased again. Curls lasted multiple days, didn’t fall much if any between washes.

They work well and better than the single one. It does take practice but the curls are awesome. After only 2 hours I get curls from this. Gave it a 4 because I don’t think it is actually silk.

Not really sure I know how to use these properly. I have very curly hair and though this may give me a loose curl style option. They are somewhat easy to use, but I think there’s a learning curve. My ends got tangled up in them and my hair was a frizzy mess. Not really sure if it’s me or the product

This. Works. I don’t ever like to use heat on my hair mostly bc I’m a little lazy and I don’t have the skill, but I love this bc it is the easiest way to get the prettiest curls and it’s so low effort. It will take some time to learn how to do it perfectly and make the ends look a little more natural rather than frayed. It only took me like 15 minuets and I have hair down to my very lower back, I recommend getting a bonnet so they stay in there really good. Love this product!!

try something else
not the best option. Very hard to deal with. Doesn’t stay in place, doesn’t come with clips and hard to clip anyway due to design. the ties on the end create the kinks and folding them like it says does not help. Creates shirley temple curls, trying to use multiple together is not easy. And the rollers weren’t long enough for me. I’ll have to try something else. Definitely disappointed.

Love it! Used this for my wedding
Get this!!! Easy to use. Easy to follow instructions too. Comfortable to sleep in. I used this for my wedding hairstyle and it turned out lerfect. And it being heatless is great for hair. Doesnt take up any space packing for trips. Worth every penny.

Works to curl but doesn’t stay long
It does definitely work to curl your hair but it does not stay in long at all. The front stays curly for a while but the back curls fall out within an hour. My hair does hold curl well when using heat but not for this. It is not hard to use but I am a side sleeper so it was not the most comfortable but I was able to manage. Once I wrapped it in the Octocurl I put on my satin bonnet for the night to keep everything in place.
