I have 55+ combination skin. I use this product with my daily spf under mineral make up. Once this dries, it provides a lovely smooth canvas for the mineral make up. It is light and does not feel oily on the skin. The price is excellent. I dont have any negative consequences (acne, allergy etc) after using the product.

I REALLY like e.l.f. products! This primer really does hydrate! My skin feels great after I use it!I apply a moisturizer after cleansing. I mix this primer with my foundation. It mixes very well! I don’t like a heavy foundation! I use about 3/4 primer and 1/4 liquid foundation. I mix it in my palm. It goes on smoothly! It lasts all day long. I like that it doesn’t “smudge off” during the day.I highly recommend as a primer, and also use it to dilute foundation that seems too thick.I don’t share photos of myself, but I always do look at photos in reviews, so I’m sharing.I am 70 years old and this photo is unfiltered. I haven’t had work on my skin (as you can tell from the photo). For my mature skin, I am pleased with this primer!

First impressions:Compared to other primers I have tried (from Loreal and Revlon to name a few) I was surprised at how silky this primer felt. It took a little getting used to at first, but it was actually very pleasant.Application and quality:As for how it worked as a base, I am very pleased with it. It made the application of my foundation super smooth and did a good job blurring my pores. I am prone to oil on certain parts of my face, and was a bit worried that the hydrating aspect of the primer and the silkiness might contribute to an oily appearance, but with my use of it so far, I’ve not had any such troubles. It leaves my skin nice and matt, but feeling hydrated.It’s incredibly lightweight, so it’s fantastic if you don’t like the feeling of having a lot on your skin.Value for money:I would say it’s worth it. The price seems standard for primer, the quality is great, and a little primer goes a long way so it should last a while.
