Nice quality, good for sensitive lips
I really like this tinted lip balm. I got the black honey, and it has a nice subtle color that just provides a healthy look while moisturizing the lips. I would say it would be universally flattering no matter your skin tone. It also uses plant based waxes for structure (candelilla and carnauba) instead of beeswax which is good for sensitive lips and those who are allergic to propolis/beeswax products. The color lasts awhile too without needing to constantly reapply, but will eventually wear off with eating and as the day goes on.

I’m new to this product but honestly feel like I’m late to a really great party! This stuff is amazing. Perfect subtle color with a very moisturizing feel. Not sticky or gooey, just a hydrating nice feel. I’m an old so passed the stage of being bothered with lip liner and this is perfect for mature women. It doesn’t settle in wisdom creases or those “wth is wrong with you” lines around the lips we worked years to achieve. It’s just really nice. And for the young folks still waking up two hours early to do makeup, this stuff is really beautiful.

Beautiful shade of sheer darker burgundy on my lips when applied. Lovely with gloss. As always Clinique is a high quality product. Stays on my lips for quite a long time and doesn’t dry my lips out with a nice texture. I will buy this product again because the price was in line with other products of this quality. My precious!
I’ve been obsessed with this lip color since Lord of the Rings (the original) came out. In all this time, it has never failed me. A true neutral color, this barely there berry has been stunning on both cool and warm toned friends. The formula is moisturizing and surprisingly durable (4/5 hours) for how sheer the color is. Note that this is NOT a one application and done type product, it’s more of a bridge between chapstick and lip stick. It’s perfect for no makeup, makeup or a toned down vamp look. Also one tube lasts forever, so it’s worth the price.

Great color
The color is great. It is buildable. The formula is moisturizing and looks fantastic on literally everyone. However, the color wears off quickly and so you are constantly needing to reapply. I prefer more of a stain or something with a little more durability.

Nice Dark Red
I really like the look and feel of this lip balm. It doesn’t feel gummy or pill up overtime. You can control the depth of color with the number of layers. So one application is not super dark but a nice warm color. If I want a more dramatic color experience go with 2-3 applications. It is more red and not a deep plum color but overall really nice.

Enhances natural shade of lips, lasts a long time
I am a senior citizen, lots of wrinkles. I have very thin lips so lipstick is always a problem for me, I usually stick to a Chapstick because lipstick brings too much attention to my very thin lips. BUT this lipstick works perfectly, it seems to add luster and accentuate my normal lip color. I received compliments yesterday while out by several family members, saying ‘something about you has changed, you look prettier’, etc. It was this fab lipstick. Love the applicator, this lipstick goes on smoothly and lasts for hours (even while eating). thank you!

Timeless, Universal — Magical
Truly timeless — first time I wore it was in the 70s!!! Thrilled when it was re-continued!Magically universal. Got SO many compliments. I am a pale, blue-eyed blonde, 70 years old. I gave one to a friend, mixed-race, dark brunette, 50-ish, and it was great on her. And her friends loved it and got it for themselves. Have given to others, it really looks terrific on everyone.Also, it’s a terrific balm.To date, I’ve used only the original Black Honey. It’s perfect for those really low-maintenance days, just a swipe to elevate your look.It might be too cool for red-heads, the Nude seems to be warmer. Haven’t tried the Pink; the Black gives me “just enough” color without being too much.I would give it more stars if possible. Believe all the other positive reviews!!!

The shade “Black Honey” looks a bit dark in the tube, but once applied, it gives the most natural and flattering tint that suits every skin tone. It feels super smooth and hydrating, like a lip balm, but with the perfect hint of color that makes lips look healthy and polished. I love that it’s lightweight, not sticky at all, and easy to reapply. It has definitely become my go-to for everyday wear — simple, elegant, and timeless.

I could use this forever and not need any other lip product. I put a little bit and it gives a pinkish color. I add more and it gives a darker warmer color. Just perfect.
